This chapter describes—the process of installing the publican package, creating books, the main configuration files, example book files, and how to build a book.

3.1. Installing publican

To install publican:
  • Change to the root user: $ su -
  • Run the following command to install the publican package: # yum install publican publican-doc
There are several brand packages available for use with publican. Run the following command as the root user to install packages for building branded books:
# yum install publican-brand
Replace brand with redhat, fedora, jboss, ovirt, or gimp.
