Community contribution is vital to Fedora's success.
Hundreds of individuals worldwide contribute directly to the success of the Fedora Project. Contributing is the best way of learning about the community. The Fedora Project is made up of a number of community projects, which provide participation opportunities for people of all backgrounds.
The Fedora Extras project provides thousands of high-quality software packages to extend the software available in Fedora Core. Experienced software packagers review every package accepted into Fedora Extras. Extras repositories are enabled by default as of Fedora Core 4, so packagers for Fedora Extras have a potential audience of hundreds of thousands of users.
All software packagers are welcome to participate in the Fedora Extras project. For more information about how to become a Fedora Extras contributor, please consult the Fedora Extras Project wiki.
The goal of the Documentation Project is to create easy-to-follow, task-based documentation for Fedora Core users and developers. Other than the Installation Guide, each document is in article format, with one article per topic. This way, writers can contribute documentation about a specific topic without having to worry about how it fits into a manual or how it flows with other topics. Since the documents are for the Fedora Project, they only need to describe how to perform tasks with Fedora Core.
To read more about how to contribute to Fedora Documentation, visit the Fedora Documentation Project page.
The goal of the Fedora Translation project is to translate all software and documentation associated with the Fedora Project into every language. Currently, Fedora is translated into over 20 languages, but help is always needed.

Fedora Ambassadors are enthusiasts who spread the word about Fedora, Linux, and free/libre open source software (FLOSS) to the wider public. Ambassadors represent Fedora at events worldwide, and also act as Fedora experts in their own communities. The Fedora Project supports Ambassadors with business cards, trade show kits, presentation materials, collaboration with other Ambassadors, and other resources.
